There are a variety of local community experiences and projects that can make your visit to Gishwati-Mukura National Park a special one. These experiences are offered by those living around the park, residents who contribute much to conservation through the framework of the Community Partnership Programme.

Visit a local basket weaving cooperative to see how Rwanda’s beautiful traditional and modern baskets are made by hand.

Meeting local potters, sculptors and craftsmen and admiring their handiwork.

Enjoy meeting local beekeepers for the beekeeping experience from the beehives to the honey processing.
